What is CASTLES?
Caring Alumni Supporting The Learning and Enrichment of Students (CASTLES) was created by Camille Garro of the Revere High School Class of ‘72. Because of the dire need of after-school funding, the Class of ’72, decided that celebrating their 35th reunion could provide the perfect platform to raise awareness and money for after-school programs.
Rarely will any of us ever find such a perfect opportunity to help others so directly, for a cause that has such personal meaning!
We couldn’t do it alone…
We hope to have other classes continue this joint effort year after year, creating a strong base for a foundation to help sustain this program as long as the need exists!
Previous Galas have raised $140,000 to fund scholarships for after-school and summer programs for the children of Revere.
Mission Statement
CASTLES (Caring Alumni Supporting The Learning and Enrichment of Students) is a group of volunteer Revere alumni who are committed to enriching the future of the diverse youth in our neighborhoods. Toward that goal, we work with community organizations to provide scholarship aid to enable at-risk youth to participate in after-school and summer programs.
